In the 11 years I have been married I have attended a few Quinceaneras but I have never had the opportunity to photograph one. When Mia's Mom contacted me and told me all she had planned for the day it sounded beautiful and so thoughtfully put together. The day of didn't disappoint and I think it was a gorgeous celebration. The portraits were shot at Heritage Park in Santa Fe Springs and the reception was held at Grape Vine Arbor Park in San Gabriel.
Most of my summers are spent photographing weddings but I do have an occasional family session which is a nice change for pace from the usual fun and craziness of a wedding day. This beautiful family contacted me a few months back that they were vacationing in Southern California and wanted to have a beach session. We decided on Crystal Cove in Newport Beach since there are so many gorgeous areas to go. I had such a great time with them and hope they will come visit me again on their next trip!
I had the pleasure of meeting Carolina a few years back at a photography workshop we both attended. Several of the attendees have kept in touch through Facebook and we follow each others work and provide support and learning to each other. Carolina recently had a beautiful baby girl so when I posted that I was having my Valentines Love Session minis she contacted me to have their first family pictures taken. I was excited but also nervous since she was another photographer but as soon as we started the session they were so easy to work with it and I just enjoyed every minute of it. We even got to shoot a few headshots for Carolina's website, Lifekisses Photography.
I LOVE repeat clients and I LOVE the B Family. This is the 3rd year in a row that I have done family pictures for the B Family and I have enjoyed so much watching their family grow each year. This year mom chose a spot where they liked to visit as a family so it was special to them which always makes for wonderful memories.
You may remember this beautiful family from some past sessions we have done. This is the 3rd year I have done the P Families photos and each time it gets better! Mom has awesome style and everyone is always decked out perfectly for their session. I hope you love the sneak peek!
This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the L Family in Laguna Beach. Sweet Hudson was so eager and easy to photograph that he truly made my job an easy one. I loved his energy and we had a blast getting these images. I hope Mom and Dad love the little sneak peek with many more to come soon!
Last week I had the pleasure of photographing the W Family in their home. When Mom told me it was 3 boys ages 4 and under I was prepared for LOTS of cajoling and bribes but boy did these kids surprise me. They were full of smiles and fun and ready and willing to get their picture taken. Made my job easy when they are this easy going and cute. It was also Mom's birthday so the reminder of strawberry cake afterwards probably helped. Hope you love your sneak peek with the rest to come soon!
I didn't lie...cute, huh? :)
This is the third year that I have had the pleasure of photographing the L Family and I love watching these girls grow in front of my camera. I was so glad when Mom requested a fun and colorful urban session since I have been waiting to use this location and I think it worked perfectly!
When I was contacted to do this session for a this beautiful mother and her daughter I was excited to create some memories for them. You could really tell that these two have a lot of fun together and there is a ton of love.
I promised this beautiful family a sneak peek before I left town for a few days. I hope you love them with more to come soon!
I couldn't wait for this session! Carey and I have been friends for a few years and I was so excited when she asked me to do her family pictures and she couldn't have picked a more beautiful location. I hope you love your beautiful images Carey with more to come!
The last time I photographed this beautiful family they were only 3. I was so excited to meet the newest addition, Finley and she is such a sweet baby. Big sister Avery is so doting and really loves her and you can just see it in the pictures. I am so glad Leah decided to do a session in their home. Everything was candid and relaxed and I enjoy this type of session so much. I love the images and hope Mom and Dad are excited to see their sneak peek!
This is the second time I have had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family. I was so excited for this session since I LOVE urban settings and this location was an awesome choice. This beautiful mommy is also a talented photographer so we had fun doing some shots for her website as well. I hope you like your little sneak peek!
I really think I have the best looking and best dressed clients around! I was so excited to photograph the "B" Family again. The first time I met them was last December when Landon was just 8 months old and only just sitting. Now he is a busy 18 month old and on the move! I know Mom and Dad were worried that we wouldn't get any shots but I think this sneak peek shows we did...and I am sure you will love the rest. On this first one I couldn't decide if I like black and white so I am showing both :)
You are GORGEOUS Shannon!
This fun family was on vacation for the week and we were able to squeeze in a beach session! It was cold and windy but these kiddos were troopers and did a great job. I know Mom and Dad are anxious to see a sneak peek so I didn't want to leave them hanging. Hope you enjoy the rest of your time in California!
I rarely get families with older "kids" so I was excited to photograph the F Family and their beautiful daughters who were home from college for the summer. The day we had our session it was beautiful at the beach but the tide was quite high so we ended up pretty wet but this fun family were great sports and just went with it. I know they will cherish these photos while the girls are on the East Coast and look forward to seeing them again!
I had a super fun session on Friday with the "A" Family. It even included 2 cute dogs that wanted in on the action. These boys were so good and I think we got some great shots for Mom, Dad and their Aunt. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I can't wait to show you some more!
If this image doesn't describe life with 4 boys then I don't know what does!
Last week it was 4 boys this week it's 4 girls. This session was so much fun and probably one of the quickest I can remember. These cousins were so much fun and everyone was ready to get their pictures taken and were full of smiles. I hope both moms and grandmas love their sneak peek!
I must admit that I was slightly nervous about photographing 4 boys at the beach. You can imagine the possible chaos that could have ensued. Luckily they were a ton of fun and ready for anything. I will say that Mom deserves a medal because I know with 3 of my own she must be worn out at the end of the night. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek with more to come soon!
Now that Spring is slowly turning into Summer I am starting to book up my beach sessions. I love the colors in these clothes and they would be perfect for beach pictures. Check them out and book you summer family session today!!
