I LOVE repeat clients and I LOVE the B Family. This is the 3rd year in a row that I have done family pictures for the B Family and I have enjoyed so much watching their family grow each year. This year mom chose a spot where they liked to visit as a family so it was special to them which always makes for wonderful memories.
You may remember this beautiful family from some past sessions we have done. This is the 3rd year I have done the P Families photos and each time it gets better! Mom has awesome style and everyone is always decked out perfectly for their session. I hope you love the sneak peek!
This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the L Family in Laguna Beach. Sweet Hudson was so eager and easy to photograph that he truly made my job an easy one. I loved his energy and we had a blast getting these images. I hope Mom and Dad love the little sneak peek with many more to come soon!
It's time for another installment of Fashion Friday! I am often asked by clients who are coming for a family session what they should wear or what colors work best together. These collections should help with some ideas if you are stuck and don't know what to wear!
From my family to yours! Thank you to all my clients that have made 2010 a wonderful year and I am looking forward to a great 2011!
This is the third year that I have had the pleasure of photographing the L Family and I love watching these girls grow in front of my camera. I was so glad when Mom requested a fun and colorful urban session since I have been waiting to use this location and I think it worked perfectly!
When I was contacted to do this session for a this beautiful mother and her daughter I was excited to create some memories for them. You could really tell that these two have a lot of fun together and there is a ton of love.
I promised this beautiful family a sneak peek before I left town for a few days. I hope you love them with more to come soon!
I couldn't wait for this session! Carey and I have been friends for a few years and I was so excited when she asked me to do her family pictures and she couldn't have picked a more beautiful location. I hope you love your beautiful images Carey with more to come!
The last time I photographed this beautiful family they were only 3. I was so excited to meet the newest addition, Finley and she is such a sweet baby. Big sister Avery is so doting and really loves her and you can just see it in the pictures. I am so glad Leah decided to do a session in their home. Everything was candid and relaxed and I enjoy this type of session so much. I love the images and hope Mom and Dad are excited to see their sneak peek!
It's been a while since I have done one of these and with holiday sessions coming up it is about time. Today I am photographing a wedding in Temecula at Wilson Creek Winery so look for a sneak peek to come shortly. Have a great weekend and don't forget to book your session for holiday cards soon before they are all booked up!
After having 2 boys it was inevitable that when I did have my daughter I would be putting her in ballet. I have been waiting for this day and she was too. We went out and got the leotard, ballet skirt, tights and ballet shoes (I drew the line at a tiara). When today arrived she was so excited. She pretty much chattered through the entire thing, ran all around and hung on the ballet bar but she had the best time. She is usually all around boys and ends up playing whatever they want so it was fun to watch her giggling and being a princess with the other girls. Earlier this week she started a little pre-school program so this has been a big week for her. And an even bigger one for me.
I have a few weddings coming up in the next couple of weeks so I rented a new lens to play with. Since my boys are at an age where they are fairly uncooperative I took my daughter out to practice. She is starting to dread my camera coming out but she isn't quite there yet so I can usually get her to sit for a few minutes. She will be starting preschool this week and when I look at these pictures I just can't believe how quickly she has grown. I had to throw in a cool macro shot of a dragonfly that landed on my porch. My middle son found it and was fascinated by how big it was. Through my picture he was able to see it up close and magnified and that provided hours of questions about insects and a fun learning opportunity.
The heat has hit us and it's finally feeling like summer. Family sessions are still in full swing and soon it will be time to think about those holiday cards. Where has this year gone! Remember that when you are planning what to wear it's best not to necessarily match but for colors and clothing to compliment each other. Make sure that you feel comfortable in what you wearing and have fun!
My youngest is 3 today. It's gone by so fast and knowing that she is my last I have tried to slow down and enjoy every minute. Sometimes I have been succesful but most days she has me running and I can't keep up. She is by far the most adventurous of my 3 kids and I know she will go far. I just hope I can keep up.
Recently another photographer and I went out to have fun and practice some new techniques. The lovely Brittney was kind enough (and patient) to help us out. Our learning didn't go so well but I did get some beautiful headshots of Brittney. Hope you enjoy!
I first photographed Miss Kitty as a newborn and my how she has grown. Now she is 9 months old and getting ready for her baptism. She was all smiles and giggles and just the sweetest little thing.
Recently I was browsing on Etsy for some cute headbands for Kaia and came across Baby Flair Boutique, an awesome shop based out of Southern California. The owner Alyson was so accodmmodating when I needed a quick turn around and got the headband out to me in record time. I was fortunate to be able to do some work for her and photograph some new products. Alyson's work is flawless and these items are so high quality and super cute. Make sure you check her out and tell her you heard it here!
This session was sort of a last minute thing so I came terribly unprepared with no backdrops, props, etc. Just me and my camera. I was so glad I had the opportunity to meet this special family. Baby E has been a dream for this family and his arrival was much anticipated and a long time in the making. Thank you Jen and Aaron for letting me into your home. I hope you love your sneak peek!
