My poor blog has been sadly neglected these last few months as wedding season is in full swing and my kids are out of school for the summer (also known as the perfect storm of busy). I have so many wonderful engagement sessions I have yet to blog and now gorgeous weddings that I can't wait to share. First up is Frank & Danielle. I shot their engagement session several months back in Big Bear, CA at Danielle's family cabin. It's a special spot for them because that is where they were engaged and shared so many amazing memories. I can't wait for your wedding next month, I know it's going to be an adventurous day :).
I've had the pleasure of photographing several weddings this season in Temecula. I always love the wineries with the gorgeous green grapevines and beautiful hills. Europa Village is such a quaint and classy venue and it the perfect spot for Anthony & Kristina's wedding day.

They say that rain is good luck on your wedding day and if that is true then Matt & Tessa have plenty of luck ahead of them. I am used to watching the weather and planning for rainy wedding days during the Spring and Winter but a wedding in July? Nobody saw it coming. The forecast for this gorgeous rustic wedding in the mountains was sunny with no prediction of rain. But as soon as we arrived at the venue you could see there was something brewing. We still held out hope of it just being overcast and a little muggy but then the sky opened up and it poured and poured and poured. I have never seen a more calm bride in Tessa as she had been planning for this day for years. Maybe is was because she knew something the rest of us didn't but with minutes to spare of needing to change the ceremony location the rain suddenly stopped and the sun came out. It was a gorgeous day and that sun came forth just in time for these two to get married.

Most of my summers are spent photographing weddings but I do have an occasional family session which is a nice change for pace from the usual fun and craziness of a wedding day. This beautiful family contacted me a few months back that they were vacationing in Southern California and wanted to have a beach session. We decided on Crystal Cove in Newport Beach since there are so many gorgeous areas to go. I had such a great time with them and hope they will come visit me again on their next trip!
